Where the top underclassman (rising sophomores and juniors) flex their muscle and take their game to the next level. The event is held yearly in July at St Louis University. Each players skills are crafted and refined by the best coaches in the county. I had the honor of attending and working the 2016 event. Day in and day out these elite high school basketball players are pushed to their limit against the best competition they have ever faced. This is where the alpha dogs emerge to create their own destiny.

The finest talent from across the county in 2018 – 2019 class gathered, and the turnout did not disappoint. Over one hundred players participated, with several prospects elevating their stock in the process:

Each player is put through a warm-up session (dynamic warm-up) to start the day, than skills session / fundamental session and team sessions. Working on specific: post moves, 1 on 1, off-ball screens, triangle 2 on 2, 3 on 3 attack, 4 on 4 flow, etc. The focus is on the skills to take and adapt into games: weak-side movement, penetrate read and movements, pass and basket cuts (selfish cuts), dribble wing into post, etc. Games with teams and skills / fundamental sessions continue ~2/3 times daily with cool-down sessions at the end of each (static cool-down). Scouts are watching and evaluating plus various basketball and life-skills presentations through out the camp. All wraps up on the last couple days with a team tournament and champion crowned at the end.
