Greatness – Doing the little things over and over again, very well! Great athletes are selfish with their time and understand the power of NO! Greatness takes consistency. To be great you must learn to be un-ruffable. “The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy” – Martin Luther King Jr.

Good will always be the biggest enemy of great. Become / be very intentional with your time. You can’t get back time you’ve already spent. As an Athlete, maximize every rep in, all aspects of training. Either every rep is getting you closer to you goal or getting you further away. Time is a valuable commodity – as we all do not know how much of it we have in our playing careers. In the blink off an eye it’s gone and the playing window closes.

Great players are not caught by surprise. They understand and embrace the process. They have the patience to stick through all the ups and downs. They see it through from start to finish with precision. Great ones are masters at note taking / putting pen to paper + taking mental snapshots. They build their base like a house – foundation comes first.

Only become great at the things your willing to sacrifice for.
