Intuition: A looking at, immediate cognition, to look at, consider, in /  on. To look, watch, guard, see, observe, to know. The process of knowledge, perception, etc…

Do You Follow Your Intuition? What does your gut tell you when making a decision? What comes to your mind first? Go with the ‘Feeling / Feel’. It’s hard to decipher with so so many thought going on – right / wrong, yes / no, maybe, I do know / I don’t know, etc… Through ‘Meditation’ –  you can clear your mind of repetitive thoughts & worries (would of, could of, should of). If you can get to this slower / calmer / more clearer stage – it can become easier to listen to your intuition. How do you know which gut feeling to trust / go with? Your mind goes a million miles an hour – you have over ~60,000 or so thoughts, going though it daily. Out of all these thoughts daily, ~80% are the same, day over day. It’s about slowing this process down and clearing the mind / clutter though ‘Meditation’ that will help you follow your intuition. A cluttered mind hinders Intuition!

It takes time to get in-tuned with your body and mind (as one) – Regular: ‘Yoga / Meditation’ Practices – can quite the monkey mind. When you take on these daily practices – it becomes easier / clearer to decipher the initial gut feeling. Also, intuition maybe a first warning sign in your body to listen! Does your energy peak or drop during a specific incident in your daily life? Are you even aware of this energy – can you feel it? Trust your body, less is more. Your body always knows – it can find balance on it own, if you allow it. We overthink things and keep allowing this continues loop to continue instead of ending the loop. Our ragged mind / thoughts at times, get in the way of this process. As adults, we find more and more ways to make things more complicated then they have to be. Look at a child, they are living in the moment and are a kindred free spirit. We adults feel like the burden of the world is on our shoulders. We need to find ways to: open up, be free, let go, let loose, etc…

Intuition For An Athlete: listen to your body – aches, pains, hunger, thirsty, tired, over-trained, sleep deprived, burned-out, etc… Can you feel these little nagging pains or are they part of your daily life?, Do you brush them off as nothing? The little issues overtime compound into larger injuries that force you to the: trainer table, bench / sidelines, surgery, rehab, etc… Do you seek out the proper forms of: Rest, Recovery, Rejuvenation, Regeneration, and, Injury Prevention? These are all separate from a good nights sleep. I’m talking about ‘Conscious Relaxation’ – could be as simple as sitting at home with no electronics devices on for a half an hour to one hour or so (No: TV, Computer, Smart Phones, etc.). Do you work with a: ‘Yoga Coach’, Pilates Instructor, Barre Method, Miracle Ball Method, Hyperbaric Chamber, Message, MAT, etc? Is Recovery Training part of your regular schedule / repertoire? It’s all part of a chain link fence – just as important as strength and conditioning is, so is rest and recovery, as proper nutrition, as performance training (movement prep), etc… The moments of Rest and Recovery are just as important as the high pace / physical activity!
